Sweet Anna got dedicated at church on Sunday. She already knows how to preform, too. She cried in the back until we were called up and she stopped crying and even stayed calm while the pastor prayed and held her. Phew! We made it back to our seats with not a peep from her. The moment I sat down she began to wail again...good job, Anna!
After the dedication we headed to Houstons for lunch (YUM!). We ordered Lucy some vanilla ice cream after she ate (the bribery worked beautifully too!) The waitress brought her the ice cream and I then looked at Lucy and said "What do we say?" expecting a th
ank you...oh no, she says "I want chocolate." Thank goodness our waitress was good humored and brought her some chocolate sauce for it. So glad that I have no control over my child's manners. Oh well, maybe one day my pushing her to say "please" and "thank you" will pay off.

Glad everything went so smoothly for Anna's special day! And I totally agree with Lucy...why bother with vanilla ice cream when you can have chocolate????
